New Player Registration

NEW TO HOCKEY?

NEW players just starting hockey or registering in Minor Hockey for the first time will require a Shift Forward parent certificate and a Hockey Canada ID.

There has been a change to how HCR Profiles (numbers) are created for new participants who have NEVER registered in a Hockey Canada sanctioned program before.   It is important to note that HCR Profiles will no longer be created through Respect in Sport.  New Participants will be required to enter their HCR number in to Respect Group when they sign up for certification.

For participants who have never been registered in a Hockey Canada sanctioned program before the registration flow will look like this:

  1. Create a Spordle Account
  2. Create HCR Profile
  3. Complete the Shift Forward parent program.   This is required for all players to step on the ice.  The certifications last 4 years.
  4. Register with OMHA
